The church of San Martín de Frómista, located in the Camino de Santiago, built in the second half of the thirteenth century by order of Mrs. Mayor of Castile, as part of a monastery of San Martín and Josema, now disappeared. The first reports in which reference is made to this church date back to 1066, which had already begun construction. His style is related to the Romanesque Palencia area. In 1118 became part of the Benedictine priory of San Zoilo, in Carrión de los Condes. The monks left soon after, in the thirteenth century, and gave it to Don Juan Gomez de Manzanedo.
